Laura became a Partner in 2022. Having spent her entire career focused on private clients, Laura is familiar with the challenges that owner-managed businesses can face and is able to work with her clients to overcome complex business and accounting issues.
Laura’s clients appreciate her attention to detail, professional approach and dedication to client service. She is a trusted business advisor to clients, who also value her ability to provide insight into available government subsidies and grants. Laura oversees assurance and compilation engagements as well as tax and advisory services in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, real estate development and professional services. Assurance services include businesses that report their operations using Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations and International Financial Reporting Standards. Her continued focus is on developing relationships based on trust and using that understanding to provide customized solutions.
Graduating with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in 2010, Laura joined Lipton LLP in 2018 after working as a Manager in the Private Client Services practice of a large international firm. Laura became a fully designated Chartered Professional Accountant of Ontario in 2013. Laura also serves on the finance committee of Paul Penna Downtown Jewish Day School in the not-for-profit sector.
